Got the old Lincoln in the 11s this weekend

Postby OldAbe » Mon Aug 26, 2013 4:37 pm

Finally was able to tak the mark vii to the track yesterday after working on it all summer. Had a really good day actually ran faster than what i thought, 11.693 at 113.96mph was its best with a 1.668 60ft. I tried to post a pic of the time slip but it says the pixals are too high in the picture. Was able to up load the pic of it launching when it ran the 11.6 though lol. Im going to try and post videos of the runs later :D

Congratulations on the great time, well done. That's a lot of work to get there, enjoy running it with a big smile. 8-)

That is good compression, and a low drag trans.

What heads and intake are you using?

I'm running Procomp Electronics 190cc aluminum heads with edelbrocks performer intake. I don't recommend getting the Procomp heads though, as soon as I got them I had to put new guides and seals in them along with a new valve spring because they assembled it with a bent one.

Well, well done because those heads seem to do okay but are a lot of trouble to fix inherent issues.

I hope to just get my engine installed this season.

Oh carbureted. Cheater, lol. What's your rear suspension? I'm in the process of redoing mine. Again. We've reached the limit.
