I chatted with you 1 year ago, but it appears I will never get to LI.

Would you consider shipping a 2.25 system with quiet performance mufflers. (no Flowmasters HA!) I respect that you do not want prices on the forum, so my EMail is cfcjr@comcast.net. No Cats Please. (no emissions on pre 1995 vehicles)
You may also PM me here if you prefer.

I spoke with Richie? of United Exhaust and explained what I was looking for. I mentioned that I also needed an H pipe sans cats, and asked if I should purchase a Mustang piece. He said the Mustang piece was shorter than the Mark Vii (I am familiar as I had to purchase seperate flow tubes for the 1988 TBird.) I asked if he would make me one to go with the rest of his exhaust system and his reply was affirmtive, but it would take a couple more weeks as he has never made a jig for the Mark VII h pipe before.
The Bad Part..... I have to wait a little longer for my system.
The Good Part..... United will have a jig ready for the next time one of us is in need of a complete system.
I will be putting it on myself with the help of my neighbor's lift and will try to get some pictures for your perusal.
I chose turbo mufflers instead of flowmasters, magnaflow, or similiar mufflers as I do NOT want my Lincoln to sound like my Tbird or a Mustang.
I realize that this is a big hobby, and others would want 2 chambered flowmasters, but to me it just wouldn't be right.

Charlie,

Based on your description, I would say go with two, unequal length Dynomax Super Turbos. I believe I used a 1334 and 1349. I spec'd them based on the bigger muffler: it the highest flow 2.5" oval muffler with the biggest case. The other is also 2.5 in/out but about 4" shorter in the case. Ideally, the flow tubes would be 2.5" into the mufflers to reduce throttling effects from diameter changes. I and someone else used this set up. Neither of us have much drone but a little rumble. We are both pretty happy. I'd be happy to meet you if you want to hear it. I just need to get the upper intake back on the car.

Do you have the '86 Charcoal car? My memory is fuzzy.

They were able to make me a catted H pipe. They did have it partially pre-made, but he told me they hadn't completed the jig so it would need some finessing to make it complete. It did end up taking a little tweaking and cutting on the sections they had made up already, and then they had to add the crossover bit but its a very nice looking piece. I have to keep converters for inspection here, so they set me up with a pair of Magnaflow high-flow cats.

I think you'll have this kit installed before I get my car running. I've been pulling more and more off trying to do repairs. I'm a few bolts away from stripping all the accessories off the block.
