I am so happy with the seat covers that I just got from autoarmour-auctions http://www.ebay.com/itm/200806394666?ss ... 1497.l2649
I always thought of seat covers as baggy , non matching ugly things until now. These seat covers are like the originals. For $57.00 for the pair. This place also has thousands of seat covers for any car. In case you lease a car and want to keep it mint. Or just preserve your stock interior.
Once again you will have to watch this slideshow from the end to the beginning. I did it step by step in case you guys want a reference. Walt

Nice! At least they cost a lot less than my $750 re-upholstery job I had done.

This is passenger seat. I picked it up on Monday and put it together during the week. I put it in the car today but have not taken any pictures of it.

The creases will smooth out after being in the sun. The drivers side looked the same way and stretched out real nice.

This is the drivers side that was done a couple months ago:

The rear seat is being done now and should be ready in a couple of weeks.

I know! I am so happy that she did such a terrific job! And I am so darn happy now that I don't have crappy seats anymore. I have been wanting to do this for years and finally bit the bullet and did it.

Next big thing is to get the car painted. It really needs it. Lots of "to the metal" areas.

Then it will be basically a new car.

Nice. That looks like it might work for me. I can't (at least at the moment) see myself paying for a shop to completely re-skin the seats.

Thanks for all the photos!

You would after sitting in them. She re-did the padding and cushions too. What a difference. It was like riding in a new car. The old seats were hard and stiff. They are now boient and smooth.

Like I said, it took me two years to do this. I hope it dosn't take two years for the paint. :o

I know what your talking your talking about with the paint. It took me a few years to get mine done. The 90 Marks had the clear coat problem. When I bought mine it was 6 years old. The car looked and even smelled new, but the clear coat was starting to fade in the middle of the roof. I paid $12,000 for it. As for the seats not being comfortable. The padding all felt fine, just a big chunk was missing at the front part of the bottom. I had a big soft towel that I folded up and tucked in and under the existing material. And some was low in the back bottom, and I used a hand towel for that. It looks smooth and feel better than it did. I'm going to dig out some pics of when I bought the car and when the paint was in bad shape. This car came a long way. Walt

The biggest problem with my interior is the smell! I have the interior out right now - seats, carpet, door panels, headliner, center console, overhead console, package tray, trunk carpet. Everything. I power washed the carpet but I'm afraid it still is going to smell. Shoot, the gutted interior still smells! The PO let a sunroof leak go on for quite some time, dambit.

On a positive note, the inner fenders and body panels are money. No rust. The overall body is tip top. Nice paint job done several years ago.

I'm going to fix leaks and attend to all mechanical issues before I even so much as buy seat covers. I want to be smart about this. I'm getting air bag errors and I have a rear diff leak and a power steering leak. Some kind of shudder from the front end, too.

I got a new gasket for the sunroof and new dew wipes that I need to install. After that I'm going to drive it and see if/where the water comes in.

It is possible that once I get all the stuff straightened out I will poney up for re-skinned seats, but that's probably a long way off.

Cheers. 8-)

Sounds like you have mold in the car itself. You will need to tackle that as well.

You must kill the mold spores or the smell will return. Use a solution of 1 part beach, 10 parts water. Apply or soak, rinse and allow to air dry THOROUGHLY.

So it's been nearly three years. How have your seat covers held up? Anything you would have done differently?

Here is. Photo hopefully. can't load photos from my iPad. My seats look much like the day I installed them! Light gray sport seats front, bench rear. I use Zymol leather conditioner about 10 times a year.

Keep me in mind, slight chance I might buy another car and sell my excellent seats, door panels, all light gray interior trim.
