The problem with LEDs is that they don't draw enough current and set off our 'Light Out' warning lights. There is a fix by adding a load unit to each bulb. Little more expensive but if that is the look you want......

Yes, be sure to use enough resistors added into the LED circuit to keep the rest of the circuit happy.
