1985 Roush LSC 351GTC barn find

Postby mrd1969 » Sat Mar 26, 2016 7:39 pm

First of all, I will not reveal the location of this car because owner requested that. Plus I want to buy it for myself. Anyone know more info on this car? It has been sitting about 30 years, I took a few pix. What I know is that it's a 1985 LSC Roush 351 GTC with 5 speed. I can only add 3 photos, so I will add a couple more in replies.

I think the ground effects are not correct, the original owner I think had them installed, this is the 2nd owner.

Thank you for sharing this with the Lincoln Community.

We await the arrival of the Club's GTC Historian, Scott "LXRY YOT" Nonnenman.

May we see more pictures?

[edit] - Whoops. I spoke too soon. I now see NINE pictures.

I had the chance to buy this car in 1995 ish but I baulked. I forgot about the car until I got my own LSC SE. I thought some of you might at least enjoy the pix, I would enjoy the info on the car.

Great find there. I like the SVO steering wheel and the air cleaner, VC's. That's a great project to start with, looks to be complete.

Nice find!! This car looks like it has an Ebruni body kit and had the engine conversion and 5 speed swap at some point. It does not look like it got touched by Cars & Concepts and it doesn't appear to be a full GTC. It's missing the body kit, the body color paint on all trim, and it doesn't have the correct badging. The wheels also would have been body color. However, these are the correct BBS RA wheels which were available from BBS via the aftermarket. Check to see if any suspension work was done. Maybe there is more.

It'd be a good candidate to restore and turn into a period-correct Stage II car.
